Hello Rajnish,

As law aspirant you should apply for both the exams, it could be difficult in terms of money but still keep both of them side by side. Just in case if you couldn't clear clat then aliet would work as back up plan.

Clat is for getting admission in 19NLU's in India where as Aliet is for getting admission in NLU Delhi. Aliet is much tougher than clat when paper is compared.

For UG level there is not much difference in the paper of both the exams. Both the papers are from subjects such as  English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The difference in exam pattern is that in CLAT exam aspirants need to attempt a total of 200 multiple choice questions in two hours duration whereas in AILET exam 150 questions are to be attempted in one and a half hour duration.

Both the exams are good and colleges offered under them is also good. NLU Delhi falls under top law colleges in India.

As per my advice you should apply for both as safer side if you really wish to pursue law from a good college.

I hope this helps you.

All the best !!
