Hi Raj Lekh
JIPMER MBBS 2017 counselling procedure will be conducted after the declaration of results. The counselling procedure will consist of first, second, third and open rounds that take place between June and September for admission to MBBS courses.
The exam authorities will release a merit list of selected candidates based on the cut-off score. Selection of the candidate will be based on the performance in written examination.
All the Best
Candidates who will secure marks less than the minimum required cut off percentile requirement (50th percentile for UR/OCI/NRI, 45th percentile for UR-OPH and 40th per- centile for SC/ST/OBC/OPH-SC/OPH-ST-OPH-OBC) in their JIPMER entrance exam, will not be eligible for JIPMER counselling. It is important to secure minimum cut off require- ment in order to be included in the merit list published by JIPMER and be considered for admission during counselling process. Besides this, if any discrepancy is found in the biom- etric fingerprint or image verification of a candidate who has been called for JIPMER counselling, he/she will be deemed ineligible for JIPMER counselling and his/her candidature will be cancelled with immediate effect. For OPH candidates, it is important that they appear for a medical examination one day prior to the date of their counselling, in order to certify their eligibility for their category. To summarise, only those candidates who will at least score minimum cut off percentile, are included in the merit list pub- lished by JIPMER and successfully complete the biometric and photo verification, will be considered eligible for participation in JIPMER counselling. For OPH candidates, besides above mentioned eligibility criteria, it is also important to certify their eligibility against their category, one day prior to the day of counselling.
