Dear Sakshi,

Clat counselling is done by the CLAT Consortium after the CLAT examination. Students who qualified CLAT can get their university through this process.

Selection through CLAT counselling will depend on your rank, your college preference, as well as the specific reservation parameters of specific universities which include both horizontal and vertical reservations .

For example: NLSIU, Bangalore offers reservations for Karnataka domicile students while other universities may provide special reservation for women etc. Apart from this, you have your caste based and EWS reservations. Therefore, whether or not a candidate is selected through counselling and for which university depends on a lot of factors.

Best of luck! I hope this helps!
