Why annual income of father and mother ask in neet application form?
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Dear Sandeep, there are few reservations for lower Income category candidates like EWS, OBC-NCL, ESIC, etc. Because NEET cannot verify in person about these candidates, all the aspirants need to fill in their applications in Income Column. And based on the category you choose, you score will make a big difference in the final merit list. And your parents income that you mentioned will be verified during the time of counselling and admission to cross check if you belong to the category youbhave mentioned based on your parental income. For example, let's say I chose OBC-NCL as my category but mention that both my parents earn more han 8 lakhs each annually, I have made a wrong choice of category and can be held against. This is also one way of eliminating fraudulent choices of category based on income.
Salary income is not included in total annual income of family.
I m a govt employee having income more than 8 lakh from salary and no other income.
Also i got the OBC NCL certificate from authority.
Now during filling the neet form of my daughter i have selected category as OBC NCL .
Besides it, in the column of annual family income i have filled more than 8 lakh. Even this income was not include for creamy layer .
U r requested to suggest me that should i edit income column ,for OBC NCL benefit ?
Also i have filled occupation of father as govt employee.
My direct question is:-
Income from salary shoud be filled in annual income column or need to declare income from salary
