Why colleges in Bangalore has more fees if we take admission through comedk and less fees if we take admission through kcet exam.
Hello Areeb,
KCET is an exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admissions to technical courses for students who have studied here for about 8 yrs or so .
For further information check their website.
COMEDK is similar exam conducted for same purpose -here students from all over India are allowed to appear for the exam .
Therefore, the fees paid for KCET is around 1/4th of that paid by COMEDK entrant .

Ty .
I think the reason behind such a difference in the fees is competition in both the exams. It is a well known fact that there is much lesser competition in COMEDK than KCET. And getting the same COMEDK rank in KCET is not much easy as KCET considers class 12 marks also .And there are also many restrictions in KCET exam regarding karnataka state domicile. So it is hard for a student to get admission in any college through KCET than COMEDK , so you can think less fee structure is a type of benefit which is given to those students for they have worked well.
Hope you get my point!
KCET is only for students of karnataka or children of defence personal while anybody from india can give comedk. so karnataka govt. is giving quota to their children so that they can study their if your financial condition is not good enough. so the fees for students getting admission through KCET is not more than approx. 40,000 INR. while through Comedk admission fees will be between 1-1.50 lakh.
In KCET all govt. as well as private colleges are included while in Comedk only private colleges are includes. level of examination is almost same.
