Hello,

There are many reasons why Gandhiji did not feel like home at English society and first and foremost reason is that it was actually a home almost opposite from his home as everything over there was different. Gandhiji was not feeling himself, he was trying to become what he is not to fit in the environment. Alos Gandhiji was a vegetarian so and it was hard to maintain that. He also used to alter and wear the Bombay cut clothes which, he thought, werenotsuitable forEnglish society. So he bought new clothes inEnglishfashion from the Army and Navy stores. And all these series of incidents made him feel he is not home.

I hope this helps.
