See BAMS is not at all a clinical subject now a days. Most of the BAMS graduates joins different Ayurvedic Manufacturing companies as a result, they get job in the specified field. So that can be a reason for some who think BAMS is better.

My opinion suggests that both the courses are good. If you go for the BDS then you can go for clinical perspective which isn't the case for BAMS. The BDS can perform dental surgery and procedures and they can prescribe dental related medicines. So if you want to go for a field which have good clinical and surgical exposure then its BDS. If you study further like MDS, then you will get to do more complex procedures in different Dental Hospitals. Also, you can open your private clinic. So I don't know why everyone things so, but BDS is a good field of study if you are interest in clinical practices.
