Hello there ,

Hope you are doing well . Recently, there had been a hearing in the Supreme court regarding the 27% OBC and 10% EWS reservation. Firstly,a group of doctors interested to pursue certain courses in PG had filed a case with the Supreme Court regarding this new reservation system as there were no seats left for the general category students in some courses at all .But later the case totally centerred on the EWS eligibility criteria. In there , the centre had asked for a period of 4 weeks to revise the criteria of an annual income of maximum Rs 8 lakh for a candidate to be falling into the EWS category . They had been granted the same and as of now the next hearing regarding this case is on the 6th of January 2022.

The All India Counselling by MCC is to begin only after the case is resolved. So,it's advised to you to wait for the final decision of the Supreme Court.

Hope my answer helped.
