Hey !

Excluding some of the engineering colleges, most of them are based on  just CGPA . If it's more like research , projects and real time learning then students will be having high exposure to outside competitive conditions and corporate world. Lack of infrastructure can also be one of the cause that Students are not able bag jobs. Mostly it is the ratio of pass out engineering students to the number of jobs which is effecting the most. Engineering must be about no.of projects..but unfortunately it has become all about number of paper works.

Mostly 'One night fight' is what 70-80 percent of the engineering students do. Parents forcing their kids to do engineering even if their kids are not interested is also a situation most of us witness. Basically practical knowledge is all what we require.

Hope this helps

All the best !

Hi Dhina ,

I understand your concern ,as I myself am an engineering aspirant. It is simply because the number of engineering graduates in the country has been increased immensely , though it is a very good thing that indians are getting more literate , we lack job oppurtunities because we do not have jobs enough for the number of passouts .In simple terms the country is becoming more competitive ,like the rest of the countries around the globe.

The oppurtunity or chance for you to get a job is completely dependent on your calibre and talents. The more you satisfy the needs of your employers , the more chances you have to obtain the job you are competing for.

I have come to know that our government is planning on a program to educate the students with practical knowledge and increase the chances of getting a job very soon.Hope I have made my point, It is surely going to get better in the near future.

Thank you

Hiii...

Factors working behind an engineer's employability:

According to Bharwani, the following factors decide whether an engineer is employable:

"Theability to apply the concepts learntto constantly develop innovative things and find solutions to complex problems are main factors working behind the employability of an engineer."

"Thestate of the economyalso plays a major role for employment generation. Industry insiders say that in a strained economic condition, companies do not want to spend much on training and would prefer candidates with some skill sets who can be made billable soon."

Location factor:According to the Aspiring Minds report, in Tier-1 cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, 18.26 per cent of software engineers are job ready, while in Tier-2 cities such as Pune, Nagpur and Surat, 14.17 per cent are employable

Hope you get it

Hello,

There is nothing like engineering students don't get any job in India,  the reality is something different. There are still a plenty of job opportunities left for engineering students. The only point of concern is the increasing number of students in engineering. Almost half of the youth of India is studying engineering and with increasing students,  the value of engineers has decreased.

But,  if you are good in your skills and has good knowledge,  then you would surely get a good job. Companies like TCS and HCL conduct placement drives and give jobs to thousands of aspirants.

Hope it works.

All the best.
