Mysore and MMC is just like heaven on earth, Bangalore is a very polluted and dirty place, u can just go and stand in front of BMC gate in kalasipalya, the only thing u smell is Urine on either side of the compound at BMC.
Coming to the clinical input and patient load, Rich people or even the middle-class people don't even think of BMC or even its hospitals in Bangalore when they are sick. People coming from other places are generally scattered to various hospitals like Ramiah, NIMHANS, etc… hence naturally patient load is not so Massive as expected.
Whereas in Mysore Medical college the Load in Humungous!!!, people from very very far and remote locations are brought to MMC day and night, they come all the way from Uttara and Dakshina Kannada, shivamogga, Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajanagara, Madikeri, Sullia, etc… and shockingly huge number of patients are referred for the respective Medical colleges of these places. Hence the clinical exposure is too great.
In hostel life, MMC hostel was built by the Maharaj very long ago when BMC was still a Baby. The city was not so developed those days hence it was constructed in a huge area with very big rooms and spacious environment with garden and greenery. Bangalore is naturally a congested city with a square foot value in Crores, so a guy with common sense can imagine how a BMC hostel looks and feels, I wouldn’t wish to offend BMC alumnus by explaining the life in BMC hostel, u better go and have a visit and experience for yourself.
student strength, MMC has an input of 150 every year, 150 students itself would feel a bit cumbersome During anatomy dissection & posting in the Wards. Whereas BMC has a Massive input of 250/yr, sometimes medicos are more than patients. You will be literally lost in that turmoil.
