Doing B.Sc is considered more fruitful than pursuing Engineering because many students think that a specific field is good. But no field is good or bad. The main thing is whether you have interest in that course and whether you are doing it from a good college. So, if you have interest in B.Sc and are academically strong, then only go for it, that too from a good college. You can pursue M.Sc after doing B.Sc and then carry on research work or may become a professor in reputed university.

Hope my answer helps!

It depends in which particular field you want to pursue B.Sc programme. After the completion of the B.Sc degree there are various options available for the science students, they can go for master degree in Science like M.Sc & can go in a research area and can even look for professional job oriented courses. Often, in some reputed universities or colleges in India.
