BSc. in food Technology is a 4 year UG degree course. It is a branch of science involved with the production, processing , preservation ,labelling and quality management of food products .
The annual fee ramges from Rs.1LPA to 5 LPA . You need to give entrance exams to be enrolled for this program such as JEE,TANCET,WBJEE etc
Coming to your question with a masters degree in food technology you can become an engineer too . You will be required to plan , design , improve and maintain the processing systems .
NOTE: A food engineer is different from Food technologists. Food engineers deal with microbiology, applied physical sciences , chemistry and engineering for food and related industries.

Food engineering concentrates on unit operation in design and development of the process food manufacturing, and machineries for mass manufacturing, whereas food technology is the apex stream that covers all aspect of food with the physics, chemistry, biology of food science followed by engineering and technology.
So both are inter- related and has different role to play.
