W is greater than mo is greater than cr
Hii ,
Melting point and boiling point of D block elements are higher compared to P and S block elements. This is because the D block elements have high number of unpaired electrons which contributed to a greater number of electrons in the crystal lattice. There by increasing the strength of the metallic bond between the atoms. Therefore the Melting and Boiling points are high. This is all about more the unpaired electrons higher the Melting and Boiling point.
As chromium is having 5 unpaired electrons it has higher Melting point I,e 2180 K
Molybdenum is having 6 unpaired electrons so it has higher M.P than chromium I,e 2683 K
Thank you.
