Dear candidate,

O negative blood group is an universal donar because it does not have any antigens present on it and it does not have Rh factor so, any other person can be given it without any problem of mismatch. So in an emergency o- red blood cells can be given to anyone.

Hope this information is Helpful.

Hello!

O negative is said to be universal sonar because firstly it dosent have any antigen protein and also they are Rh negative.Although about 8% of the population has O negative blood , it accounts for around 13% of hospital requests for red blood cells.
