Hi

During the process of free radical polymerisation reaction, the impurities can act as chain transfer agent and and it may combine with the free radical participating in the polymerization reaction and can act as a inhibitor which will interfere with the normal polymerisation reaction and it may slow down the reaction or it can even stop the reaction.
So purest monomer is used in free radical polymerization reaction.

Thankyou
