Why there is very high fees in IIIT KOTTAYAM? Can I join CSE there are there placements good ?

The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam was established in 2015 in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode with funding from central government, state government and industry partners. The institute granted the status of "Institute of National Importance" to the Government of India.

• Fee structure: INR 5.4 Lakh ( Total fees)
• It is the latest IIIT College, which was founded in 2015, and this College is in PPP mode.
• The college had only one pass out of the batch with a strength of 30 students.
• The highest salary package offered was INR11.5 LPA and average salary package was offered was INR 3.5-4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are IBM, TCS, JIO, and many more.
• Students should have good command on programming languages.

It is applicable on students who are selected for pursuing full time engineering courses .
Though there is no provision of tuition fee exemption on the basis of categories, but students are offered several scholarships with respect to their merit and other skill based criteria
