I think you forgot to mention about the exam. Please mention it so that we can inform you about the exam and its importance.

If you want to study further after 12th, then for most of the course you have to give an entrance exam. As courses have limited for example 60-80 and thousand candidates wants to take admission in the course, so they needed to be filtered out. Also they don't give admission on the basis of 12th marks and choose an entrance exam which specifically focuses on their course. Like PCM for JEE Mains/Advanced and English, aptitude etc for LAW entrance exam.
