Hello Ritik,

It's great to hear from you that you are preparing for exam conducted by the department of technical education of Maharashtra for admissions to engineering courses.

By applying and scoring well in this exam you can secure yourself a seat in one of many prestigious engineering institutions in Maharashtra like COEP,  Government college of engineering Aurangabad, government college of engineering Amravati and many more.

According to new rules your admission for the course will be totally independent of your 12th marks as long as you score 50% aggregate in PCM. Admissions will be totally based upon your performance in MHTCET.

Hopefully I answered the questions. Thank you for reading and best wishes for your future.

Hii..

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility criteria:-

· Indian Nationals who have passed HSC/12th class exam or its equivalent examination are eligible for appearing in MHT CET 2018.

· There is no age limit for appearing in MHT CET 2018 . This means that there is no restriction about passing the qualifying examination in a particular year.

Also, candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (HSC/12th) in 2018 are considered eligible for appearing in MHT CET 2018

Diksha Mohnani 15th Mar, 2018

No, 12th percentage is not required in MHTCET as 50% is mandatory to apply for the same as an eligibility criteria only. Also, to get admission in MHTCET only its score is important as it does not give weightage to the 12th score. And to get admission in top colleges of Maharashtra like COEP, VJTI etc,  in top branches more than 170 would be required.

Hope this helps.

12th Marks are most crucial eligibility criteria to attempt MHTCET 2018.

You have atleast 50 % marks in class 12 to apply for MHCET. Schedule Category and Schedule Tribe Category candidates have privilege marks relaxation for applying for MHCET.

Class 12 th marks are only Eligibility criteria fir MHCET.

All the best.

Hi Ritik,

The answer is NO.  From this year marks of your 12th grade will not be considered for MH CET . While there is a minimum cutoff marks of 80% of your respective board that you need to qualify.

Hope it helps. Any queries are welcomed in the comments below.

Kunal Kr. 14th Mar, 2018

no, absolutely not they do only consider class 12 marks for just a formality in science (maths physics chemistry) and it plays no major role in MH-CET results.
