Will board exam results be considered for KCET ranking in 2022?
Hello,
- For admission to Engineering marks scored in qualifying examination that is 10+2 or its equivalent and CET score in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry will be considered in equal proportions to determine the rank.
- For admission to Architecture the marks scored in NATA will be considered to determine the rank. Qualifying examination score will not be considered.
- For admission to Farm Science courses (B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture, B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech (Bio-Technology) B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (D. Tech), B.F.Sc (Fisheries), B.Sc. (Hons) Agri. Business Management) marks scored in qualifying examination that is 10+2 or its equivalent and CET score in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry will be considered in equal proportions to determine the rank.
- In the case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit list will be prepared based on 50% marks secured in CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test. Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota. This is applicable for admission to the following courses B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry under Agriculturist Quota.
- For admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) marks scored in Biology, Physics and Chemistry in CET will be considered to determine the rank.

So with regard to your query, NO, the 12th board exam marks will not be considered to calculate the ranking of KCET. The marks scored in the 12th standard are only used for the purpose of eligibility criteria to write the KCET exam. Marks will never be considered for the ranking process.
Only your marks scored in the KCET examination will be considered for the purpose of ranking and the seats will be reserved based upon your caste reservation criteria.
