MBBS Fees seldom get reduced. So it is highly unlikely that, this year, MBBS fees will be reduced, be it in Private or Governemnt MBBS College.
I can provide you with the Government MBBS fees for Odisha state (approximately same for other states but may vary to a large extent in some cases) -
College Fees
1st year - Rs. 30,000
2nd year - Rs. 18,675
3rd year - Rs. 18,675
4th year - Rs. 18,675
Final year - Rs. 18,675
Hostel Fees
1st year - Rs. 10,000
2nd year - Rs. 8,000
3rd year - Rs. 8,000
4th year - Rs. 8,000
Final year - Rs. 8,000
University Examination Fees
1st Prof - Rs. 1400
2nd Prof - Rs. 1400
3rd Prof (Part I) - Rs. 1400
3rd Prof (Part II) - Rs. 1400
For private colleges it is highly variable and may sometimes even touch a total of Rs. 1 crore (total fees including hostel fees for 5.5 years)
Thank you
Best Of Luck
I do not feel so. The government colleges have already fixed tuition fees + hostel charges + registration etc. which vary from state to state. The fees in private colleges generally remains stable or increases based on their popularity and market prices. Like the government colleges, education is not highly subsidized so in private colleges the maximum revenue and profit is taken from patients and the students. So in that regard fees are high and get higher at times also.
