Very difficult to convert even if you get calls.



Specially if you are from the General Category and also if you are A Male engineering Candidate it will be more difficult.



If you have strong Extracurriculars and other subject or research certificates or some internships that creates value etc. It will help.

For older IIMs they roll out calls based on your profile but it seems difficult to get a call at 95.



For new IIMs Including Kashipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Raipur, Trichy, Udaipur etc they are having a cutoff of 96 percentile from the last two years hence it seems difficult if they do not lower their criterion.



The newest IIMs Including Amritsar, Sirmaur, Sambalpur, Vizag, Nagpur etc they can shortlist you for an interview based on the previous years cutoff.

As you have an average academic records and no work exeperience then With 95+ percentile you can get calls from ultra new IIMs like IIM sambalpur, IIM Nagpur etc.



If you are getting 95+ percentile then you cam also try for various good private colleges like MDI Gurgaon, SP Jain, Shailesh J. Mehta, Bombay etc.



These private colleges are much better than the new IIMs which requires a few more years to establish themselves. So for a better facility and result I will recommend you to aim for these private colleges instead of going for new IIMs.

You might get calls from the baby IIMs. New IIMs are increasing seats every year and last year people with 96 percentile secured admission. There is chance of getting call from new IIMs also
