Getting job in any company will depends on your skills and experience
- To get placement in google you should
-
1)get personal experience
-
2) build up your coding skills (if you're applying for an engineering job)
-
3) it's better not to apply externally through the company website (instead of focus on internships, campus recuriting and referrals )
-
4)directly reach out to a google recruiter
-
5) grow a specialty and become what a google call a "T-shaped "person
-
6) don't bother writing your GPA on your resume if it's too low
-

Dear Pranav, doing your graduation and post graduation from an IITs doesn't guarantee your placement in a renowned and world famous IT company like Google.
Even if you are able to make it to an IIT through your Jee Advance rank then also you will have to work hard a lot in order to make your dream of doing the job in google come true.
You have asked a really innocent question, most of the people will tell you that studying in an IIT will give you a job in your dream company but that's not true at all.
you need to know the truth that IITs and other equivalent colleges only provide exposure to their students and the placements of students solely depends on their hard work.
If you want to do a job in Google then only Hard work is the key to this door to your dreams.
Yes, it is certainly possible to work atGoogle. It does not matter if you are from IIT or not. ... Even if you can't getthrough placement cell of IITs (ifGoogle comes to campus placement in that particular season), you havevery good chance that you may getthrough by applying online.
Just an additional degree doesn't give you a hi-fi in interview if you are aiming for a job in Google. But, assuming high CGPA along with some publications while pursuing MTech/MS surely gives an added advantage. Many people generally tend to convert to PhD when they are pursuing MS. So, if you are just looking for job, then take MTech . It not only build up your resume but also make you stand in the front of the line if it is from a good institution. So, go join in it now.
If Google visits your campus, let's say, placement cells generally tend to shortlist candidates even before interviews based on THEIR OWN CRITERIA which may be CGPA/resume based or based on suggestions by professors.
So, in the end you are on your own. It matters a little which college you are from. But, if from IITs it gives you a higher probability to reach your goal soon.
Thank you,
