Dear Aspirant,

If you don't get a seat in round 1, then chances are that you might get the seat in the subsequent rounds or you might not. When the first round is done then all the seats are allotted to students, in subsequent rounds students primarily seek an upgrade. In doing so, some students might give up their seat if they are not satisfied with it and will prepare for the next year. Such seats became vacant and then you could hope for these seats.

Similarly, maybe some students might not be able to do the registration for their seat and might end up losing it. In this case, too, students with lower rank could hope for these seats.

However, if your rank is quite below the threshold, then chances of you getting a seat in the subsequent rounds decrease pretty much, so it is, in fact, ambiguous whether you will get the seat in the subsequent rounds or not.

Hope this helps.

Thank You.
