Hello,
State government has decided to increase the monthly internship stipend for the students of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS).
Less than Rs.10,000 was the stipend. The period of internship may be for 12 months. The six months of training may be provided for clinical training under various departments, in case of total duration of course of study.
For example in Andhra Pradesh the stipend is around Rs 15600 Per Month in Govt. BAMS. Before 2019 February stipend was only Rs 8000.
Ayurvedic Doctors can also perform general surgery. The potentiality in the field of ayurveda is increasing day by day.

Dear student,
It totally depends on the college in which you are:
Stipend is paid in certain specific government colleges itself , around rupees 5,000 to 15,000 is paid as a stipend.
Also, a few private colleges also pay stipend, so it's better to contact seniors about it .
Hi there,
BAMS is a five and half year course including 1 year of internship programme and interns should be paid enough for interns. Stipend is provide during internship in some of government and private colleges.
In some good private colleges you can get internship for free while in some colleges you have to pay some amount. So,only few private colleges provide stipend during internships.
Hope it helps you
Good luck!
