Will it be difficult for a commerce student (without maths but with ip as optional) to go for BCA?
Hello Shreeram,
Yes, you are eligible for BCA. There are some colleges that necessiate maths for BCA while some don't. Since, you had Informatics Practices in class 12th, you can get into BCA in following universities.
Christ University, Banglore
Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Pune
Institute of Management Studies, Noida
Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar
Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (You need either IP or Mathematics with 10+2) (Campus in Jaipur, Kolkata, Mesra, Deogarh, Lalpur, Allahabad, Patna, Ranchi and Noida)
Sikkim Manipal University
Manipal University, Jaipur
St. Xevier’s College, Jaipur
Poornima University, Jaipur
Once you did BCA, then you are automatically eligible for MCA. But still there are some college who demands 12th maths compulsory for MCA but there are also colleges that just demand 12th pass certificate + BCA degree pass certificate. So, you should also keep that in mind.
Best of luck!
Hello shriram,
BCA is a 3 year course comprises of 6 semesters, in which you have to do maths in 4 semesters ( compulsory ) .Moreover there are some colleges who offers BCA course without maths. But yes, let me tell you there will be no use of BCA then.Maths is a good and basic platfotm for doing BCA as if you don't know the logics how can you be a good programer? And, if you are asking that you have done your 10+2 without maths, still you can do BCA or not ?
Then answer is yes. You can do BCA but then you have keep practice maths during your semesters.
Thanks .
