Yes it becomes difficult for the non IT student to pursue MCA.
As MCA requires to deal with computer , programming languages, DBMS and other computer related topics, therefore it will not be easy for the one who hasn‘t studied computer.

if you have the basic programming knowlegde of C++ and java, you will not face ,uch difficulties.
if you have not studied computers in the past, it may be very difficult for you to cope up in the initial semesters.
remember mca is a 3 years masters program.
you can rathar go for mtech(studied filed) or mba of your choice.
