dear aspirant,
In Maharashtra there are 3 regions, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Rest Of Maharastra (RoM).70% is regional reservation 30% is for non-regional.COMN refers to common/general category (not belonging to any reserved category like SC etc).Reservations in Mahrastra go like this - 15% for All India Quota Out of Remaining 85% for State Quota 70% is for regional and 30% is non-regional. i.e. A student from Marathwada region is eligible for 70% seats in Marathwada, 30% seats in Vidarbha and 30% in RoM.In both these regional and RoM reservations there are further reservations for SC, ST and other categories. Seats other then reserved category is for COMN (common). In 85% State quota there is also 1/3 reservation for women in all the categories.
hope it helped.
