Hello,
No there is no such news regarding the opening of M.B.B.S colleges. The reopening of M.B.B.S colleges in Karnataka is on 1st December 2020 but not Maharashtra. All colleges affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi university of health issues (RGUHS) will reopen from December 1, according to minister for medical education K Sudhakar on Friday. There is no news regarding the M.B.B.S in Maharashtra. Keep an eye on the news for latest information.
The state education department had allowed schools and colleges to reopen for students with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol. Attendance is, however, not mandatory but it has not happened because of rising cases.
Civic bodies like Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Panvel had directed that schools in these cities will remain closed until the end of this year due to rising number of COVID-19 cases.
Some of the Top Medical Colleges like AIIMS Delhi, Bhubaneshwar as well as KMC Manipal have already started their classes and laboratories from Campuses, for nearly most of the Batches. If everything goes as planned and COVID has more or less the same trend as now, MBBS Colleges in Maharashtra should open in December atleast for the Final Years, unless any order from the Maharashtra Government.
