If you are meritorious and skilled, no one can stop you to get placed whether it is in campus placement or out campus placement. You need to maintain your CGPA and get good practical knowledge of your respective branch. CGPA lets you appear in high package placements and your skills help to get you placed. Work hard and don't worry about placement. Chase excellence and success will come chasing you.
