I don't think so because recently DTE Maharashtra has announced certain changes in the exam pattern and syllabus of the entrance exam. Therefore, it has to be concluded that MHT CET entrance exam for 2018 is very much on.!!

Yes, it's official that the exam will be held, as DTE Maharashtra officials have recently announced that MHT CET 2018 will be held in May 2018. Not only this, the level of the state level entrance test has been raised to the level of JEE Main. Some changes have also been made in the exam pattern, syllabus and weightage given to class XI and XII syllabus. As per the new official notification, for the academic year 2018-19, MHT CET will be held in 2 papers - Paper I for Mathematics and Paper II for Physics and Chemistry, each paper for a total of 100 marks. In Mathematics, 40 questions will be asked from class XII syllabus, while 10 questions will be asked from XI class syllabus. The same weightage is given to Chemistry and Physics sections also.

80% weightage in the question paper will be given to class XII syllabus, while 20% weightage will be given to class XI syllabus. The syllabus of MHT CET 2018 will be based on the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education.

Apart from this, other official details about MHT CET 2018 are yet to come.
