NCERTs book will help you build foundation in all subjects namely economics, history, geography, political science etc. it's not just limited to upsc exam even for state level exams these books can be used, the best part about these books are they are written in simple and lucid language in order to have a better understanding, and they afterwards you can move on to standard books.
