Hi Aspirant!
Actually PHE as optional subject does not replace lowest marks in class 12 Boards unless you failed in main subjects.
Afterwards in college /any exam/ any company placement they count Percentage from whatever number of subjects are mentioned whether it's 5 subjects ,6 subjects or 7 subjects. There are no main papers and optional papers according to them.
Hope it helps!
Hi
No, physical education or any other optional subject doesn't replace any of the five main subjects in your CBSE board examination unless you fail in one of the subject.
For example,
I have completed my class 12th from CBSE board and I had Hindustani music as my optional subject, and I got 93 in it but it still didn't replace any of the five main subjects though I had marks lower than 93 in some of the main subjects.
Additional /optional subject marks is separately written under the optional subject category in cbse result
But I had one friend who failed in Physics and in his result his optional subject had replaced physics.
To help you further,
Here are some tips to excel in your board examination:-

-----------------) Practice at least 10 years previous year question papers
