Will the competition in JEE mains 2020 really increase? As many students won't be able to go to exam,and the no. of registration has also decreased.

There are certain criteria on which the cut-off depends, such as, the no. of students appearing in the exam, difficulty level of the question paper, etc., But, it is expected that the cutoff should increase slightly as there has been a long gap in between and students got more time to prepare. So, cutoff must increase as per the performance of the students.
