If you have cleared your backlog before your placements start in the college you will have no problem and that backlog will not effect your placements. During interview if you are confident in giving answers to any question they as you will have great chances to get jobs these backlog will not matter. So as long as your interview goes well and you have cleared your backlog you will have no problem. Most of the companies have no backlog at the time of the interview rule which is why it is better if you clear your backlog before the placement drive.
