You acquire seats depending on your KCET merit score, therefore if it's low, you won't be able to attend a good institution. If you're talking about failing your boards, you won't be able to get into universities based on your KCET score if this happens. Because, in order to meet the KCET eligibility criteria, you must have an aggregate of 45 percent or higher in your 12th boards (for the general category) and 40 percent or higher in the reserved category.
