Well all the schools provide their students with the respective things like ,Transfer certificate ,Migration certificate,Character Certificate etc..

They give away the original ones to the respective students,with the institutions seal on it.

They have a soft copy in their computer systems mostly on their computer systems,but,there are certain schools who might not have the same.

In case of the colleges,they ask for the original ones as well as a photo copy of the same.You can always ask for the original one if you have something important to do with it.

I would suggest you always keep a copy of such important documents,in case if needed in future.
