It is not always necessary to have a work experience to land onto a good job through MBA. Work experience definitely helps as companies would value you more considering the fact that you already know about the work situations of organizations. But companies ( during placements through MBA) usually value only those who have an experience of not more than 3 years. People with more than 3 years of experience are supposed to be slow learners as the companies find it difficult to teach them their culture as they become too accustomed to their previous organizational culture.

Companies like Vedanta Group prefer freshers whereas companies like Tata Steel, TCS or some pharmaceutical companies strictly require a candidate to not have an experience for more than 2 years, while recruiting from campus.
