It is not that cut-off or ranking priority,based on your cut-off scored by you in the 12th boards you will be allotted ranks both in general and in community.The rank allotted will help you short-list a set of colleges and courses based on the previous year cut-off issues by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) .Your engineering cut-off will determine the rank and thus rank will determine the college and the course you will fit in.
