Placements - both are almost equal
College life - IIT KGP >> NIT Trichy
College Fest - IIT KGP >> NIT Trichy
Infrastructure - IIT KGP >> NIT Trichy
Alumni support - IIT KGP > NIT Trichy
Peer group - IIT KGP >> NIT Trichy

I would suggest you to go for IIT Kharagpur because the term IIT does matter. However, try searching about the subjects. If you find one topic interesting above the other, then go for it because both the colleges are good and interest matters teh most.
According to me, opting for Wireless Communication and Networking in IIT kharagpur is a better shot among the two. Out of the two, Wireless communication and networking has better scope in the future in respect to campus placement. Even IIT Kharagpur is one of the best institution in India. So, from that prospective too, going for Wireless communication and networking in general quota is more beneficial.
