Based on your category and assuming you clear the sectional cut-offs of respective colleges, you should get a call for the following colleges:

Anubhav with 75 percentile in CAT exam under your SC category you have a chance to get calls from New IIMs lRohtakM Rohatk, IIM Udaipur, IIM Trichy, IIM Kashipur etc. and from ultra new IIMs like IIM Sambalpur, IIM Amritsar, IIM Nagpur etc. I am sorry to say that 75 percentile makes you eligible for old IIMs but you will never get the call from old IIMs. To get calls from top 3 IIMs like IIM A, B and C you need to have atleast 92+ percentile and aim for 95+ percentile to increase the chance of conversion of the call. For other old IIMs like IIM L, K, I and S you need to have atleast 85+ percentile and aim for 90+ to increase the chance of conversion. Even for FMS and JBIMS call you need to have atleast 85+ percentile to get call and 90+ to increase the probability of your conversion.

After you give CAT exam then all the colleges in which you apply including IIMs makes a merit list to call students for the second round of interview and WSAT which is made in the basis of your aggregate score and which is based on different parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer, gender etc. whose weightage vary according to different colleges.

So getting high percentile is not enough along with that you need to have a very strong profile.

Almost all the IIMs and many other top B-schools in the country have a lower CAT cutoff for SC category students. However, the sectional score plays an important role. You need to meet the sectional as well as overall cutoff criterion to get a call from most of the top B-schools including IIMs. You’re most likely to get a call from many new IIMs with 75 percentile in CAT. Even IIM Ahmedabad’s shortlisting criteria is 70 percentile overall and 60 percentile in each section for SC students.
