with 81.67 percentile under ST category, can I get south Indian NIT with good branch?

Hello,
yeah, you can get admission in south indian NIT with your percentile under ST catergory but you cannot get the desired branch like computer science engineering and ECE.But there is a chance if you put good list in councelling time then you can get it. hope you can get your answer.
