To tell you about your exact admission possibilities would be really tough since Cutoff varies every year. Since you have not mentioned your state and neither your category I'm assuming you're a general category student and with 85% percentile getting overall into NIT is gonna be really tough. You can try for your state level counseling and maybe through state quota you can get admission but you might not be able to get admission in CSE branch and it's gonna be really tough getting into NIT also since they require a min percentile of 90% based on last year's cutoff.

if you have rank below 2 lakh then you can get into NIT. for reservation category, your rank needs to be below 4k-50k.
rank vary as per branch and campus.
After NIT campus, You can apply for government engineering college located in your domicile state. You can use home state quota to get relaxation in cutoff.
