with 8550 rank in CET 2021 can I get Mechanical in Walchand for OPEN ??? and if not then which is a better collage in Maharashtra for Mechanical branch wrt to my rank as I can go to Mumbai n pune too. ( presently collage ranking is based only on CS/IT) and with this diff to take a call on a college

Congratulations for scoring such great rank in MHTCET 2021. With this good rank, you can get admission in some of the good colleges of the state.
There are quite low chances that you will get Walchand College of Engineering at such a rank. However, you can try for the institutional rounds of the college after CAP rounds as well
