According to the opening and closing ranks ( for general category under all India quota) for the year of 2017, you do have a very good chance of getting admission. Maybe not in the round 1 of counseling but you have good chances to get in through the second (or third )  rounds.  The opening and closing rank for general quota admission ( round 2  ) for the year 2017 was 1656 and 2196 respectively.  Thus, if I were you,  I'd be hopeful.



But please understand my answer is based on previous year trends, there may be differences in the cut off this year.
