With a rank around 5000 in EE and st category , can I get any psu's

Most probably you will not get .Students having rank less than 2000 can easily get PSUs.If there will be more number of vacancies then only there can be chances.
Well PSUs shortlist on the basis of score.Visit the link to check the cut off of all the PSUs if your score is satisfying then you may get a call otherwise not.
You can apply by yourself to all the PSUs individually.

It might can get vary depending upon the GATE score which you will gonna fetch from the Gate entrance exam. Since you are a student belonging from the reserved category domain then in your case it will vary from company as well your branch too. So anyways there are two options for you in which first is, you can use the gate College predictior through which you can be able to predict the College based upon your respective inputs and secondly before the 16th of march you can use the cuttoff analysis for the various PSU from the link which is given below.
