Hope you are doing well!! and congratulations on securing a decent rank in CEE exam. Though you belong to OBC category then also it becomes tough for you to get Assam Engineering college (AEC) with core branches. You can get Assam Engineering college (AEC) but you will be unable to get desired branch, you may get chemical and instrumental engineering. If you go with Jorhat engineering college (JEC) then there you will be having more branch option. Hope these will help you. And good luck for counseling as it is starting from 10th of june.

Without knowing your absolute marks in CEE its difficult to say whether you will get in or not. However as per last year's statistics,

• AEC had a cutoff of 104 marks for OBC category students so if your marks are nearby to this, you have a good chance of admission.
