Hello Aryan,
The Cutoff is decided on the basis of different factors like the number of scholarships allocated to a particular state, the number of applicants from that state, the difficulty level of the exam, the performance of the children in the exam etc. to name a few. But this year there are major changes in the exam pattern and in general like the total number of scholarships increased from 1000 to 2000, total marks increased from 150 to 200, reservation for OBC etc. The NTSE Tamil Nadu result and cutoff are yet to be released, so you must follow the link for

Hi, this year NTSE has increased the number of scholarships from 1000 to 2000. So, there will be changes in the cutoff pattern. Cutoff usually depends on factors like the highest number scored by a student, lowest number secured and overall difficulty level of the question papers. Many states have started releasing the revised list for stage 1. To stay updated on Tamil Nadu NTSE cutoff, click - https://school.careers360.com/articles/ntse-tamil-nadu-cutoff
Cutoff is solely dependent on total students performance nd total students appearing as well as exam difficulty level so its difficult to predict it.
Cutoff is generally regarded as base minimum marks which will sufficiently fill all seats and allow meritorious students to participate.
No particular criteria as such because its cinfidential and is decided by management authorities only.
