Generally speaking the eligibility criteria for three years LLB is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University securing 45-50%aggregate depending upon the norms of the universities, admission can be done through entrance test such as DU LLB, UET, LAT, MAH CET LAW, KLEE to name a few or it can be based on the merit of the qualifying examination as in case of TNDALU, so yes based on academic merit too admission of LLB is done, the admission process varies among universities.
