Hello Abdul,

NEET is compulsory for getting admission in Bachelor of unani medicine and surgery (BUMS) from this year. So without qualifying neet you may not get seat in any Bums colleges. For getting admission in private colleges, it is necessary to qualify neet. For further details visit the link given below,

The High Court of Patna has rejected the order of the Ministry of AYUSH which directed all the states to take admission to AYUSH courses on the basis of NEET only. The petition challenging the order was filed by the association of Bihar Private Unani Medical Colleges.

The Patna High Court in its order stated that candidates who have not appeared for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) can also apply for BUMS course which is offered by Government Tibbi College, Patna only in the state. The single judge bench comprising Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh passed the judgement on October 10, 2013.

Candidates those who have completed their class 12th in Science stream studying Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as a subject combination from a recognized Board scoring a minimum of 50% of marks in it are eligible to opt for the BUMS course.

Hello,

In order to take admissions to the Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course offered in AYUSH colleges in any Indian state, it will be compulsory for you to appear in NEET from 2018 onwards. The Ministry of AYUSH has sent advisories to all state governments in this regard in June 2017. This proposal was first mooted and approved in 2016 with regard to BHMS, BAMS and BUMS admissions through NEET 2017. While a few states did conduct admissions to these courses through NEET, many other states were able to seek an exemption and admitted students to AYUSH courses through their own exams and counselling procedures. However, with the new AYUSH ministry notification, private/state-level examinations will no longer be conducted to fill seats in any of the AYUSH colleges, and all admissions to BAMS courses will be through NEET only from 2018 onwards. So unfortunately, you cannot get admission into BAMS without NEET in any state.

I hope this helps.
