Hello Aspirant,
I hope that you are doing well.
Only IB students who have completed the requisite scientific course requirements as part of their IBDP are eligible to take the NEET exams. A student must have studied three sciences (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in class 12 or equivalent to pursue a course in medicine from any institution in India.
Pupils must choose subjects from six groups in the IBDP, which usually does not allow students to choose three sciences. However, there are two unconventional ways for a student to study three sciences as part of the IBDP:
The first alternative is to take the third science subject as a 'additional' certificate course. It will not be counted toward the overall IB Diploma score in this situation, and it will only be useful for completing the university entrance requirements of studying three sciences.
The student can also apply for a non-regular diploma, which will allow them to take three different science courses. Group 3 can be replaced with a third science subject (Individuals and societies). While this is a viable option, the student would only be permitted to pursue a non-regular diploma if the proposed higher education's standards do not provide an alternative. The request for this must be made through the school's IB coordinator.
This must be requested through the school's IB coordinator and sent to the IB Cardiff office 18 months before the examination.
While studying three science disciplines satisfies the NEET's necessary requirements, preparing for the exam necessitates additional work on the part of the student. The NEET test is based on the CBSE syllabus and is open to students in grades 11 and 12. As a result, students who intend to take the NEET must set aside time for additional preparation.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
Thank you
